Week 4 // 4. Woche

Today I'm not in the language school to write a new post. Instead of that I'm laying in my bed with an inflammation of the throat and use the laptop of my sister Marta (Thank you sooo much :) !!!)...
But anyway, I'm still happy to be here and something like this won't get me down.

Heute bin ich mal ausnahmsweisse nicht in der Sprachschule um diesen Beitrag zu schreiben. Stattdessen liege ich in meinem Bett mit dem Laptop meiner Gastschwester (Daaaaaanke Marta :)! )...
Wie dem auch sei, ich geniesse trotzdem noch meine Zeit hier und lass mir nicht von so einer läppischen Halsentzündung den Spass verderben.

Actually my week was very relaxed.

On wednesday, after I posted my last post, I wanted to go to volleyball in the evening. But then I found out, that the season is over... so no sports again... I really have to find something new! I'm still looking for a dance class or something like this and I hope I'll find one soon.
Instead of volleyball I walked for about an hour. To Malahide and back. The main time along the beach. It felt good to be outside even if there was a bit drizzle. Later I continued the conversation with Laura that we started last night.
On thursday and friday I was just in school. Next wednesday, 8.5., there is a variety show and we're preparing a lot during the music classes. And I'm also playing piano in the classes because I'll do my practical music exam here in the end of May. Apart from that, I would say, there was nothing "special" in school. After school I normally did my homework, went outside when the sun was shining and drank a lot of hot water with honey (hoping that I DON'T get the inflammation of the throat..). And on friday I also skyped with a friend. We noticed that the last time that we skyped was in November... so we had to talk A LOT (hadn't we, Franzi?). I really enjoyed the friday just because I had nothing to do. If I remember the first few days, this was one of my biggest fears: to do nothing. But now in the moment it's just great to have no plans and just to see what I've done since I'm arrived. Now.

Eigentlich war meine ganze Woche sehr entspannt.
Am Mittwoch, nachdem ich den letzten Eintrag geebloggt hatte, wollte ich eigentlich zum Vollezballtraining gehen. Durfte dann aber feststellen, dass das Training für diese Saison vorbei ist... Na supi, darf ich mir wieder was Neues suchen. Ich halte ja immer noch ausschau nach Tanzen, da werd ich mich jetzt wahrscheinlich wieder etwas mehr reinhängen. Auf jeden Fall bin ich stattdessen einfach ne Stunde walken gegange, da ich mich mental schon so auf Sport eingestellt hatte. War auch mal ganz schön die ganze Zeit die Promenade entlang bis nach Malahide und zurück, auch wenn's genieselt hat. Zu hause hab ich es abends mir wieder zusammen mit Laura geütlich gemacht und geklönt.
Donnerstag und Freitag war ich nur in der Schule. Nächsten Mittwoch am 8.5. haben wir eine Talentshow bei uns in der Schule für die wir einiges im Musikunterricht vorbereiten. Und ich üb auch ein wenig Klavier dort, da ich mich dafür entschieden habe, Ende Mai die praktische Musik Prüfung mit zu machen. Abgesehen davon behaupte ich mal, gab es nichts "spannendes" in der Schule. Nachmittags mach ich dann normalerweisse meine Hausaufgaben, geh raus, insofern die Sonnne zumindest ein wenig scheint, und trinke heisses Wasser mit Honig (damit ich KEINE Halsentzündung kriege... hat echt gut funkioniert^^). Am Freitag hab ich ausserdem noch mit 'ner Freundin geskypt, mit der ich ziemlich lange nicht mehr gesprochen hatte. Seit November! Wir ware richtig schockiert, kam uns gar nicht so lange vor (nicht wahr, Franzi?). Mal wieder ein Beispiel für "time flies by"...
Freitag konnte ich eigentlich sehr geniessen mal nichts wirklich zu tun. Wenn ich mich an die ersten Tage erinnere, war das einer meiner grössten "Ängste", nichts vor zu haben. Doch jetzt ist es einfach nur angenehm nicht verplant zu sein und mal revue passieren lassen, was ich die letzten Wochen so getrieben habe. Ja, jetzt!

On Friday we also get a new family member. A girl from Mexico. Her name is Mari and she's very lovely (like all my "sisters"). We spent the whole weekend together and I showed her the Portmarnock beach. Yeah, even after 4 weeks, I still love this place and she was absolutely overwhelmed as well! The wheather on saturday was so AWESOME!! The sun was shining all the time and it was warm! Laura, Mari and I, we sat outside, ate lunch and manicured our nails (like every weekend :D ). It was such a craic, Ladies afternoon!
It's unbeliebeable but since I'm arrived I haven't watched tv. Why do I mention this? Because on saturday I also watched an episode of "Glee". Long time ago that I saw this the last time. Arw.. I just love this broadcast! :D

Am Freitag hat unsere Familie mal wieder Zuwachs bekommen. Ein Mädl aus Mexiko. Ihr Name ist Mari und auch sie ist total nett (genau wie alle meine "Schwestern"). Das ganze Wochenende haben wir zusammen verbracht und habe ihr natürlich unteranderem den Strand gezeigt. Und ja, ich bin immer noch begeistert von dem Strand hier! :D Und auch Mari war total angetan. Das Wetter war aber auch genial am Samstag. Den ganzen Tag Sonne und es war schon regelrecht warm! Den ganzen Nachmittag sassen Laura, Mari und ich draussen, haben Lunch gegessen und unsere Nägel manikürt. Was für ein Spass das war, Mädls Nachmittag :P !
Noch eine Sache: seitdem ich hier bin, hab ich nicht wirklich Fernsehn geschaut. Und am Samstag hab ich dann nach gefühlten Ewigkeiten mal wieder "Glee" geschaut. Arww... I liebe diese Sendung! :D

On sunday we went to the City Center, Mari, Laura and I. Shopping. Yeah, the stores are opend on sunday here in Dublin! And here are so many shopping stores!!! Isn't that awesome... :D
At 6pm we went to the church again. Destiny Church of Dublin. The evening mass. This time, it was a little bit different for me. Maybe because it's not the first time again. But I still like it and I'm sure I will go again. It's the feeling in there that gives me power for the next week. Mental.
On monday was my host mum's birthday and she looked very happy. Together with Marta I gave her a birthday card and chocolats and after dinner we all, Marta, Laura, Mari, Catherine (host mum) and I, sat together talking and laughing.
About noon I went to the doctor and he confirmed that I have a really sore throat. He prescribed me antibiotic for the next 5 days and I don't  have to go to school.

Am Sonntag war ich dann im City Center zusammen mit Laura und Mari shoppen. Ja, ganz richtig, wirklich alle Shops in der Innenstadt haben hier in Dublin am Sonntag geöffnet! Und das sind seeehr viele Shops!!! Ist das nicht toll?? :D
Nach dem wir genug Geld ausgegeben hatten, sind wir dann, wie letzten Sonntag, wieder in die Kirche gegangen. Destiny Church of Dublin. Abendmesse. Dieses Mal empfand ich alles irgendwie anders. Wahrscheinlich weil es nicht mehr das erste mal war, aber dennoch fand ich es wieder sehr stärkend. Mental. Und ich werde wieder gehn :) Bestimmt!
Am Montag hatte dann meine Gastmama Geburtstag und soweit ich das beurteilen kann, hatte sie einen sehr schönen Tag (abgesehn davon, dass sie sich mit ner Kranken rumschlagen musste^^). Mir Marta hatte ich ihr 'ne Karte geschrieben und Chocolats (also solche Schokobonbons) geschenkt. Nachdem Dinner sassen wir, also Laura, Mari, Marta, Catherine (Gastamama) und ich gemeinsam noch am Tisch und haben geklönt und gelacht .
So um die Mittagszeit war ich noch beim Arzt, der dann bestätigte, dass ich einen sehr roten ergo entzündeten Hals habe und verschrieb mir Antibiotika für die nächsten 5 Tage. Zur Schule gehe ich jetzt auch nicht.

Now, I'm just laying in my bed, taking the medicine, drink a lot (yeah, mum) and hope that I get better soon :)

Mehr oder weniger war das alles für diese Woche.
Jetzt liege ich einfach nur den ganzen Tag im Bett, nehme brav meine Medikamente, trinke ganz viel (Jaa, Mummy) und hoffe und bete, dass ich ganz schnell wieder komplett gesund werde. :)

Week 3 // 3. Woche

Hey guys!
The 3rd week is over. I can't believe it. I'm already here for 21 days (that sounds much to me^^)!

Last week was gorgeous with loads of highlights.
On thursday, there was Marta's 16. Birthday. I guess she enjoyed it ( I really hope so! :) ). She got a princess tiara in pink and a flower chain so everybody could see: It's her birthday!!^^
In the evening we decided to go swim. And we did it! Outside, it was so f***ing cold! but when we ran into the water I was a bit surprised. I thought it would be colder but it was nearly the same temprature like the air (I think 9*C). Together with Marta and Bea I jumped a few times up and down (in the water) while Alex took a few pictures^^ After "swimming" we stayed on the beach with our swimsuits. The weather was good, even it rains a few minutes before. And we saw a rainbow. Also the rest of the evening was fun!

Hey ihr Lieben!
Nun ist auch schon die dritte Woche vorbei und ich kann es einfach nicht fassen! 21 Tage bin ich jetzt hier (und fuer mich klingt das verdammt viel^^)!

Die letzte Woche war voll von Highlights. Jap, ich bin dabei unvergessliche & unbezahlbare Momente zusammeln und ich denke, dass ist das beste, was ich machen kann.
Am Donnerstag war Martas 16. Geburtstag. Ich denk mal, sie konnte ihn geniessen (oder zumindest hoff ich das ;) ). Zu hause bekam sie eine Prinzessinnenkrone und eine pinke Blumenkette, damit auch ja jeder sieht, wer das Geburtstagskind ist!^^
Am Abend haben wir dann entschieden baden zu gehen. Im Meer. Und ja, wir haben's durchgezogen! Draussen war es ar***kalt, aber als wir ins Wasser gerannt sind, war ich echt ueberascht. Ich dachte, es waere kaelter, aber es war eigentlich ziemlich aehnlich der Aussentemperatur. So um und bei 9*C.. Zusammen mit Marta und Bea bin ich im Wasser ein bissl auf und ab gesprungen und Alex hat waehrendessen Bilder geschossen^^ Nach dem "Schwimmen" waren wir noch in unseren Badesachen am Strand geblieben (den ich uebrigens immer noch liebe :D) und auch das Wetter war ganz gut. Zwar hatte es ein paar Minuten zuvor noch geregnet, aber der hatte denn aufgehoert und das einzige was uebrig blieb, war ein Regenbogen :)

On friday Marta celebrated her birthday together with her friends. We went to the "tgi fridays" ( like a diner) and had fun. 30 girls! Was so crazy when we all took the bus together^^ A crowd of chatting ladies :D
At the end, everybody sang for Marta and she got a birthday cake. Unfortunately we didn't get the bus... So, we had to call two taxis and wait in the cold... But anyway, it was funny (and freezing cold..)

Am Freitag hatte Marta dann ihren Geburtstag zusammen mit ihren Freundinnen gefeiert. Wir gingen zu "tgi fridays" (ein Diner) und hatten Spass :P. 30 Maedels! Alle (oder zumindest die Haelfte) sassen wir auf den Hinweg zusammen im Bus, laut redent^^
Am Ende des Abends sangen wir alle fuer Marta und sie bekam eine grosse Schokitorte. Yammi :D. Leider kriegten wir danach nicht mehr den Bus... und wir warteten 20 Minuten in der Kaelte auf die Taxis.. war trotzdem lustig.

On saturday I met Sophia and Miriam (two German exchange students) in Malahide and they showed me the Malahide castle (to be honest, just the green around the castle) and the was shining nearly all the time (but it was still cold..). Then we went to a cosy cafe and we ate chocolat eclairs. I love them! They also showed me the beach and we took a lot of pictures and laught all the time! When we arrived it was ebb but anyway we got a bit wet :D Later we sat in the sand, listend to music, ate crisps and talked about "our situation". Sometimes it's good to see that you're not the only one with some thought. I mean that I find it sometimes very difficult to make contact with somebody, and I'm defenitely not the only one.

Am Samstag traf ich dann Sophia und Miriam (2 deutsche Austauschschueler) in Malahide. Dort zeigten sie mir das Castle, oder besser gesagt den Schlosspark, bei schoenstem Wetter (zumindest behaupte ich das) und danach gingen wir in ein gemuetliches, kleines Cafe. Dort gab's denn Schoko Eclairs. Ich liebe die!! :D
Danach gingen wir noch zum Strand, wo wir eine Menge (schoene) Bilder machten und uns amuesierten! Als wir da waren, war noch Ebbe, aber das Wasser kam bald zurueck und wir wurden ein ganz kleines bisschen nass..(war aber nur halb so schlimm). Spaeter setzten wir uns einfach nur in den Sand, hoerten Musik, assen Chips und redeten ueber die aktuelle Situation. Es ist schoen sich mit welchen auszutauschen, die auf dei gleichen "Probleme" stossen wie man selbst. Naemlich in Kontakt mit anderen zu treten. Aber das ist wohl wirklich ein weit verbreitetes Phaenomen. Und es wird auch langsam besser :) .

Usually in Germany I go to the church every sunday, so I decided to visit the mass. Together with Marta and Laura. Here, in Portmarnock, is a catholic church so we went there at 9 o'clock. I was very curious because it's so different to the mass that I used to visit. I don't know if you ever were at the catholic church, or at church at all, but if you're somewhere new, it's normally very exciting and you try to remember every detail (or is it just me?). Whatever, I love to go to the church and that was a good experience even if I think I wont go to the cathlic church soon again. It gave me the feeling that I needed in this moment but the way they do their mass doesn't have the same main focus on the "things" I like to have in church.
So, Laura ask me if I want to go to the protestant mass in the evening in the city center. And i said yes. Have nothing to lose. And I just wanna say: That's the kind of church I looked for. Music (live, and everybody sing along), and they preach in such a different way than the catholic. Or maybe I should say, that I like this feeling that arises when they talk in this enthusiastic and clear way. This church is also very international and I think I'll go there again. :)
On the same day I visited my friend Aisling and one of her friends and we went to Pizza Hut. 10€. All-you-can-eat. I was sooo stuffed, you won't believe me! :D

In Deutschland geh normalerweisse jeden Sonntag in die Kirche und da ich das doch vermisse, entschied ich mich diesen Sonntag zu gehen. Zusammen mit Marta und Laura ging ich hier, in Portmarnock, zur Katholischen Kirche um 9 Uhr. Und ich muss sagen, ich fand es sehr spannend, da ich andere Gottesdienste gewoehnt bin. Vielleicht ward ihr schon mal in der Katholischen (oder ueberhaupt in irgendeiner Kirche), und kennt ihr das auch, wenn ihr irgendwo neu seid, probiert ihr alles in euch aufzusaugen und ja nichts zu vergessen? Oder ist das nur bei mir so? Wie dem auch sei, Ich brauche die Kirche und dort hinzugehen war eine tolle Erfahrung, auch wenn ich nicht glaube, dass ich so bald wieder zur Katholischen gehe. In dem Moment gab sie mir das, was ich brauchte, dennoch vermisse ich andere Schwerpunkte im Gottesdienst.
Daher fragt mich Laura danach, ob ich am Abend mit ihr zur Evangelischen Kirche moecte. Die, in der Innenstadt. Ich sagte ja. Hab ja nichts zu verlieren. Und das war eine gute Entscheidung! Dieser Gottesdienst lag mir definitif mehr! Am Anfang die ganze Zeit live Musik mit ner Band und zum mitsingen und klatschen. Das Gefuehl war unbeschreiblich. Und auch die Predig danach war so befreiend. Klar und locker, nich abgelesen sondern frei und immer mit einem Lachen auf den Lippen. Ich hatte Freudentraenen in meinen Augen. Wie lang ist das her? Ich denke mal, ich war nicht das Letzte mal dort.
Am gleichen Tag hatte ich mich auch mit Aisling und ner Freundin von ihr getroffen und wir gingen zu Pizza Hut. 10€. All-you-can-eat. Ihr glaubt nicht wie voll ich danach war^^

Yesterday, after school I went for a walk with Marta. The weather is awesome. A bit like spring :D Maybe that, what they call the "Irish Summer". Ouh, by the way, the beach is still gorgeous :D.
Later I sat in Laura's room and I talked with her for hours. She is so lovely and we always know something to talk about. :)

Gestern war ich kurz mit Marta spazieren. Das Wetter ist mal wieder unglaublich. Wie Fruehling (oder das, was die hier den "irischen Sommer" nennen)!
Spaeter sass ich dann bis spaet in die Nacht mit Laura in ihrem Zimmer und wir redeten und redeten und redeten... Sie ist so nett und der Gespraechsstoff geht uns nie aus :)

Ein Freudensprung am Strand

Auch genial: als Yvy und ich im Stadtzentrum waren, sahen wir das! Da haben wohl ein paar falsch geparkt. Wie haben wir gelacht.

2 weeks are over // Schon 2 Wochen hier

Now I think the same way like everybody. Do you remember the last post? The first few sentences? I wrote that everybody says "time flies by". They were right. The last few days I was so busy. Or I felt like I'm busy.

On friday my friend Yvonne arrived and she stayed the weekend. I know her from school in Germany but she's here in Ireland County Mayo since september last year. The weekend was just gorgeous!!!
I met her at the train station "Heuston Station" and we had to tell us sooooo much. I showed her Dublin City Center (just a bit) and then we went to an absolutely lovely restaurant. Actually it's expensive but there are a special (cheap) menu with starter and all this stuff and after that you're stuffed! Definitely!

In the evening we went to the Portmarnock beach. Just for a short walk but I still love the beach. We took pictures and all this stuff.. 
We shared a room at home. Did I mention that my room is small? I mean I like it, but if you need two mattresses it's really small (and messy, just because of Yvonne...). But it worked. We rearranged my room and then it was alright. I wouldn't say that we slept that much but we weren't tired the next morning.

The saturday was amazing. At the morning we spoke with Laura, she's my Brazilian host sister, and she invited us (Yvonne, Marta (spanish host sister) and me) to come with her. She wanted to go to a Brazilian Club this afternoon. I loved it! Brazilian live music all the time, loads of people, different culturs. Danced 3 hours without any break. It was perfect. So much fun! :D

But believe me, after that time, we were sooo tired! But we didn't sleep much (like the night before).
I absolutely enjoyed the weekend. Yvy and I, mostly we spoke english. It's a little bit weird for me. Look, before Yvy went to Ireland her english was much worse than my english (sry for mention that, Yvy), but now she corrects me all the time (or kind of)...:P

On sunday I just went to the train station again, but the days end came so fast. Don't ask me why.

And then there are monday, tuesday and wednesday, today.
School is still exciting but in a positive way. I forget my timetable everytime but that isn't really a problem. Homework... Since thursday I have to do an essay. In Art. I'm not very enthusiastic about that, but I try my very best. Honesty! Maths is alright. It's the higher level and in the beginning I was very confused but know it gets better because I discovered that's the same topic which I did in Germany^^
On monday I started volleyball and today I'll go as well. Doing a sport again feels so good. I mean apart from school Pe. There we're doing softball (or baseball. I don't mind). It's kind of fun, too, but it's still school Pe. I'm so sorry but school Pe isn't fun (even if you think it could be).

You see, this post isn't as long as the first post. I'm not sure what happend but it seems like time just goes faster without doing anything. That is what I'm talking about.

Inzwischen stimm ich den Anderen zu. Denen die mir gesagt haben, dass die Zeit wie im Fluge vergehen wird. Erinnert ohr euch noch wie ich die letzte Woche darueber geschrieben habe? Ich konnte das absolut nicht bestaetigen. Jetzt schon. Die Woche war ich so beschaeftigt, ohne wirklich beschaeftigt zu sein. Viele Kleinigkeiten, nicht wirklich erwaehnenswert, die meine Zeit gefuellt haben, und ruckdiezuck: die Woche ist rum. Da hat sich wohl was an meinem Zeitgefuehl veraendert...^^

Am Freitag kam meine Freundin Yvonne. Wir gehn in Deutschland zusammen in eine Klasse aber sie ist seit September hier in Irland/ County Mayo. Sie blieb das Wochenende und es war toll! Nachdem ich sie bei der Bahnstation "Heuston Station" hier in Dublin abgeholt habe, zeigte ich ihr ein wenig das City Center, dass sie seit dem sie in Irland ist, immer noch nicht begutachtet hat. Jetzt schon. Zum Dinner gingen wir dann zu nem Restaurant. Ein absoluter Geheimtipp (Ok, ich weiss nicht wie geheim...). Eigentlich ist es relativ teuer, aber sie haben da ein supper (und auch guenstigeres) Menu mit Vorspeise und dem Ganzen drum und dran und danach ist man pappsatt. Glaubt mir!

In Portmarnock sind wir dann noch zum Strand gegangen und Fotos gemacht. Ich bin immer noch so begeistert von ihm wie am ersten Tag. Hoffentlich hoert das nicht auf^^
Bei mir zu Hause plazierten wir dann eine zweite Matraze in mein Zimmer. Das war gar nicht so leicht, denn mein Raum ist echt nicht gross. Gross genug fuer mich, ja, gross genug, dass ich rund um zufrieden bin, ja, gorss genug fuer zwei Matrazen, nein, nicht wirklich. Aber irgendwie quetschten wir sie trotzdem rein. Die Nacht haben wir (natuerlich) nicht viel geschlafen, aber die Muedigkeit hielt sich in Grenzen.

Der Samstag war spitze. Morgens kamen wir ins Gespraech mit Laura, meiner brasilianischen Gastschwester, und sie lud uns (Yvonne, Marta (spanische Gastschwester) und mich) ein sie spaeter zu begleiten in einen brasilianischen Club. Das liessen wir uns natuerlich nicht zweimal sagen.
Brasilianische Live Musik, ein Gedraenge an Leuten, Kultermix pur. Und 3 Stunden haben wir durchgetanzt! War das'n Spass! Wiederholungsbedarf :D
Danach waren wir absolut muede. Geschlafen haben wir die Nacht trotzdem wieder nicht so viel.
Wenn Yvy und ich uns unterhalten, sprechen wir inzwischen meistens englisch. Was echt komisch ist. Bevor Yvonne nach Irland abgezischt ist, war ihr englisch echt grottig (sry Yvy, dass ich das so sage :P), aber jetzt ist es das absolute Gegenteil und sie verbessert mich die ganze Zeit, obwohl ich vorher besser war. Und sie hat schon 'n bissl so 'nen laendlichen Irland Akzent^^ :*

Am Sonntag habe ich Yvonne nur zurueck zum Bahnhof gebracht. Mehr nicht. Aber aus irgendeinem Grund war der Tag trotzdem total schnell vorbei. Fragt mich nicht wieso.

Dann folgten Montag, Dienstag und Mittwoch, also heute.
Schule ist immer noch aufregend, aber angenehm "spannend". Auch dass ich meinen Stundenplan noch nicht drauf habe, stellt kein Problem dar.
Denn gibt's da noch Hausaufgaben... Seit letzten Donnerstag schiebe ich noch ein Aufsatz vor mir her. In Kunst. Richtige Begeisterung kann dafuer leider nicht wecken, aber ich probier trotzdem mein bestes zu geben. Ernsthaft! Mathe ist auch inordnung. Ich bin im Leistungskurs und am Anfang war ich echt ueberrumpelt, aber inzwischen legt sich auch das. Habe naemlich bemerkt, dass es das Gleiche ist, was wir in Deutschland in der Schule gemacht haben...^^ ohomm... :P

Am Montag hab ich mit Volleyball angefangen und heute Abend habe ich auch nochmal Training. Endlich wieder Sport zu machen, ist echt ein gutes Gefuehl. Ich meine abgesehen von Schulsport. Da machen wir gerade Softball (oder Baseball.. weiss nicht so recht...^^)und es bringt sogar 'n bissl Spass. Kann aber eigentlich nicht sein, weil Schulsport bringt nie Spass (auch wenn man denkt, dass es Spass bringen koennte).

Ihr seht. Der Post ist zu ende und bestimmt nicht so lang wie der Erste. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, aber es scheint als ob die Zeit schneller vorbei geht, ohne irgendetwas zu tun. Das ist das was ich meine ;)
